Civil CAD Technician/Designer

SynTier Engineering is a growing Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Company, serving the Palouse, Spokane Area, and LC Valley.  We specialize in a variety of private, public, and educational community building projects.  We are seeking a Civil CAD Technician/Designer proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D to perform duties including creating, updating and modifying drawings and maps, and performing design drafting for our Pullman, Washington office. 


We are seeking a CAD Designer that has the ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and work closely with Senior Engineers and Designers to produce final production drawings.


In this role you will perform basic to moderately-difficult production design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques. 

Responsibilities

  • Completion of project goals within scope, budget and schedule

  • Preparation of engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications

  • Preparation of grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Research regulatory requirements and design standards

  • Preparation of site development plans for large and small scale residential, commercial, multi-use, master planned communities.

  • Creation of drawings from written and verbal specifications

  • Reviews drawings for completeness

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Land Survey Technician

SynTier Engineering provides general civil engineering and surveying services for private, commercial and residential developers. We also serve municipal public agencies and institutional entities. We offer pre-development consulting, design PS&E’s and construction administration to all potential clients. SynTier also offers surveying services such as; platting, boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys and construction staking. We are looking for people who are smart, ambitious, work hard, and enjoy being part of a team. We are currently seeking entry-level field surveyors for our Pullman, WA, office location.  This position will also work within a diverse group of markets and clients such as:  Land Developers-residential and commercial, Construction and Government-municipal, education, transportation.

We use Leica equipment and software along with AutoCAD Civil3D. We also encourage all of our field surveyors to pursue their Part 107 remote pilot license so they can use our drone to support our work.

This position covers a wide variety of outdoor and indoor work which includes, but will not be limited, to:

  • Boundary Surveying

  • Control Surveying

  • Construction Staking

  • Topographic Surveys

  • Ground Support for Aerial Surveys

  • Flood plain related projects

Qualifications

  • Flexible schedule

  • A valid drivers license

  • Construction experience preferred, but not mandatory
